You desperately need to be needed by someone in need
To feed your own need to feel fully fulfilled in fullness
That never comes because the real deep need lies inside
Where your dæmons of inadequacy dramatically ravish;
So the caller calls calling for help for no help needed,
But you heed the call to be helper in the grand illusion
That your self-infusion will somehow dispel all confusion
In the transfusion of loving grace you have none to give,
And you’ll pick up the pieces again to release all pain,
And you’ll be satisfied that the needy will need you again,
Maybe more as you pin your hopes on the scope of need,
For the needy needs so much, and you need to be needed.
