Father and Son

I want to talk with you, but you walk away.
I want to embrace; you want to save face.
I want your sound, but you’re not around.
I want to share, but that you cannot bear.
I want to open my heart; you want no part.
I want you to believe, but you won’t receive.
I want to be your father…
But you don’t want the bother.

  1. While I was reading, I thought this was the son talking tot he father. I guess it can go both ways sometimes. A Well thought out poem, probably from experience.
