With Love From Above

Around and around goes the merry-go-round;
Can we get off at the next whistle sound?
We’re bound to be dizzy, but at least free
From the twirling, swirling hell-bent spin!

And I only want to love
With love from above,
And I only want to care
With two hands so bare.

Can someone, anyone stop this crazy ride,
Or does the task master take too much pride;
We’re bound to the sound of carnival tunes,
Longing for feet on the ground, earthen soil.

And I only want to love
With love from above,
And I only want to care
With two hands so bare.

Here we go again, faster than ever before,
Nor is there any chance to sing and prance
In sunlight fair cause we dare not jump
Off this wild merry-go-round upon which
No sound of shrill delight can be heard,
Not a word of hope, not even from the Pope.

And I only want to love
With love from above. . .

Yeah, love from above.
